Medical Process designs, manufactures and installs surgical sinks for the most demanding medical environments. Our MP’UNO, MP’DUO and MP’TRIO ranges have been specifically developed to meet preoperative asepsis protocols in operating theatres, intensive care units and high-risk infectious environments, both in France and internationally.
A surgical sink, also known as a scrub sink or aseptic washbasin, is the medical equipment dedicated to the surgical hand and forearm wash up to the elbows — an essential step in the preparation of the surgical team. Installed in the scrub area of the operating theatre or in the surgeon preparation room, it represents the first link in the sterility chain.
Every Medical Process surgical sink is designed without overflow or crevices, eliminating any bacterial niche that could compromise patient safety. Our enveloping shapes, rounded edges and one-piece materials with no joints or bonding ensure easy maintenance and impeccable hygiene on a daily basis.
MP’UNO – Single-Station Surgical Sink
The MP’UNO surgical sink is designed for individual aseptic hand and forearm washing up to the elbows. Its wide, deep basin combined with enveloping shapes limits splashing and prevents water stagnation. Ideal for dental and cosmetic surgery practices, emergency bays and care rooms, it is the single-station reference in the Medical Process range.
MP’DUO – Two-Station Surgical Sink
The MP’DUO surgical sink allows simultaneous surgical scrubbing for two users. Sold in thousands of units and deployed in hundreds of operating theatres worldwide, it is moulded in a single block with no joints or bonding, guaranteeing the complete absence of bacterial retention zones. Its optional aluminium rail allows soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers and nail brushes to be clipped on, avoiding any wall drilling.
MP’TRIO – Three-Station Surgical Sink
The MP’TRIO surgical sink provides three simultaneous scrubbing stations, particularly suited to high-capacity surgical platforms. It is recommended for high-risk departments and incorporates, as an option, water treatment by filtration and UV for bacteriologically controlled water quality. Like the entire range, it is available in fibreglass-reinforced polyester with an ISO NPG sanitary-grade gelcoat finish, or in a stainless steel version.
Medical Process also offers its surgical sinks in bacteriostatic 304 stainless steel (1.5 mm thickness), with a high backsplash and rounded interior to facilitate disinfection. Unlike standard stainless steel sinks on the market, our models incorporate the same hygiene accessories and water treatment options as the polyester range.
All our surgical scrub sinks share a design engineered for performance in medical environments:
Available control systems:
Water treatment options:
Medical Process recommends, for aseptic surgical sinks, pre-filtration at 1 or 5 µm supplemented by absolute terminal filtration at 0.2 µm, protecting against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other pathogenic organisms. The MP’OPURE solution enables centralised water treatment at operating theatre level, with no intervention required in sterile areas.
Our surgical scrub sinks equip all hospital and medico-technical departments:
Operating theatres (all specialties), intensive care and resuscitation units, nephrology and haemodialysis, recovery rooms and surgeon preparation rooms, emergency bays, neonatal units, nursing care rooms.
Medical Process works directly with design offices and architects specialising in hospital and clinic projects. Our approach consists of analysing each project upstream in order to recommend the surgical sink solution best suited to your architectural configuration, patient flow and internal hygiene protocols.
